Welcome to my website on student teaching for EDT 210. I hope you find this information helpful for your first teaching
experience. Please be sure to follow all instructions, as you will be graded individually on each of them.
- Arrive promptly at school at your designated time.
- The experience in the classroom is not solely to observe. Be prepared to interact with the children and teacher.
- Participate in activities such as art, music class and gym to gain additional insight into the daily schedule of
the students.
- Prepare a daily journal for each experience. Each journal should contain the following:
- Date, time and classroom information, such as teacher, room, etc.
- Activities you participate in, such as corrected homework assignments, worked 1:1 with a student, participated on a fieldtrip,
etc.
- Draw upon references to INTASC*, Multiple Intelligences and reading articles discussed in class.
- Write and essay on your reflections of the experience and what you 've learned about becoming a teacher. Has
this experience further enhanced your desire to become a school teacher, or has it dissuaded you.
- All journals and essay are due on the last day of class - December 16, 2004.
